Current task
I'm working as a coordinator at Syke's unit of Communication and marketing producing diverse media material to communicate the results of marine research to the public; my main area of interest is to improve marine literacy among public and school childrens.
Background
I have over twenty years experience within the Baltic Sea marine research community, starting my career at the Finnish Institue of Marine Research as a trainee and going on as a scientist on phytoplankton ecology.
Since 2011, I have been working as a coordinator first at Syke's marine research centre, later in the communication group in the communication and marketing function.
Education
I’m a marine biologist by training, having studied at the University of Helsinki, Finland. Later on I expanded my expertise to include studies on digital media and communication.
