The aim of the work shop is to present the draft HAZBREF guidance reports in the following sectors: Surface Treatment of Metals and Plastics (STM) and Chemical sectors (LVIC concerning fertilisers and POL concerning Polymers production). The focus will be on BAT identification for hazardous chemicals management within these case sectors.
The participants will have an opportunity to ask questions on the draft findings in the HAZBREF case sectors during the online event and give written feedback after the webinar. The draft sector reports will be further developed based on the feedback.
The reports address the following issues:
- Sector Overview
- Hazardous Substances Relevant to the Sector
- Management practices of hazardous chemicals
- Recommendations on BAT candidates
- Permitting Process and Management
